SMARTech energy deliver end to end commercial services

Corsham-based SMARTech energy deliver integrated end-to-end commercial services to SNAPDRAGONS NURSERY.

Managing Director, Stuart Pearce formed SMARTech energy with the objective to build a business that would offer complete energy management and reduction for commercial businesses. Since then, the company has firmly established itself as one of the major players in the energy management and reduction sector – typically reducing a commercial organisation’s energy consumption by 30%-50%.

Integrated Solutions

Now at the forefront of energy management and reduction solutions, it was a natural fit to combine this specialist service with electrical servicing and maintenance, heating and cooling solutions, power management (power factor correction), Solar PV systems and energy consultancy.  This integrated approach now means SMARTech energy delivers resource efficient solutions with an outstanding level of expertise.

Snapdragons Nurseries are a family run business and opened in January 1998 in a farmhouse in Atworth, Wiltshire in response to local demand for high-quality full day-care. It has developed an excellent local reputation and has since expanded into 9 sites across Bath, Bristol and other sites in Wiltshire.

THE CHALLENGE

As part of the integrated building solutions offered by SMARTech energy, the team were able to address the following challenges raised by Snapdragons Nurseries:

Main challenges addressed by Snapdragons Nurseries

  • Concerns of high energy bills
  • Identify solar to off-set energy costs
  • Testing and inspection and on-going electrical maintenance
  • LED Lighting design, installation and maintenance
  • Energy efficient air-cooling systems
  • Energy efficient heating systems

SMARTech energy’s Sales Manager, Brian Smith stated “We initially discussed improving Snapdragon Nursery’s lighting system and from this, the team then raised concerns of a site overheating, so we recommended Heat Pump technology – which not only provides the cooling they require, but also meets their heating needs in the winter. Additionally, fine air filters within the system ensure clean fresh air throughout the nursery”.

Brian continues “This simple solution has now made their costly convector heating system redundant – and ultimately, has improved their carbon footprint.  The success of this project has ensured on-going support and a good client relationship”.

CUSTOMER FEEDBACK

A recent video testimonial from Paul Collard, Managing Director of Snapdragon Nursery, follows the design and installation of a solar PV project at their site in Corsham, Wiltshire.

Paul said. “We’ve had a relationship with SMARTech energy for a number of years now and we have been trying to ‘green up’ a lot of our nurseries”.
