Corsham-based SMARTech energy backs Paralympian for 2020 Games
SMARTech energy are pleased to sponsor Corsham’s very own double Paralympic Gold Medallist, Stephanie Millward MBE on her road to the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
Having lost her funding from British Swimming in 2016, the gold medallist refused to give up her successful sporting career and now, with the support of local businesses – including SMARTech energy, Stephanie has the opportunity to reach her potential to become a Paralympic Champion again.
The focus for Stephanie ahead of Tokyo 2020 involves a rigorous, full time training schedule; which includes preparation for the British Trials in April 2019 and the World Championships in July.
Dedication, Passion and Commitment
MD of SMARTech energy Stuart Pearce said “We are delighted to back this world-class athlete and incredible sportswomen. Stephanie’s dedication, passion and commitment inspires us as a company and this ethos fits in nicely with SMARTech energy’s own values”.
Currently at the top of her game, the two-time Paralympic Champion who suffers with MS, came home with a haul of medals from both the London 2010 and Rio 2016 Paralympic Games; winning one silver and four bronze medals in 2010 and two golds, one silver and two bronze medals in 2016.
