What is Evaporative Cooling?

Low Cost Cooling

Unlike traditional air conditioning, this is a fresh air cooling solution that works as part of a mechanical ventilation system. It typically costs 90% less to run than traditional AC, is more energy efficient and environmentally friendly and what’s more it can help dilute airborne viruses.

EcoCoolers can effectively cool people, processes and products, with solutions for a range of applications including warehouses, factories, gyms and large retail units.

One EcoCooler can produce up to an astonishing 50KW of cooling for every 1.5KW of electricity, costing just 15p per hour on average for a typical 200m2 area.

A Versatile Solution

EcoCooling provides evaporative cooling equipment for a range of industrial and commercial applications, with controls to suit most requirements. The simple system uses fresh air to blanket or spot cool buildings and processes, which is boosted by evaporative cooling on hot days. The units can be configured to discharge air from the top, bottom or side, making the system easy to install where roof installation may be an issue.

Evaporative cooling systems are extremely efficient – delivering 35 kW of cooling for 2.4kW of electricity (24p per hour to operate). An evaporative cooling installation typically consumes less than 10% of the electricity of an equivalently rated refrigeration based cooling system. Return on investment is usually between 2-5 years for industrial systems and can be as low as 6 months for environments where the cooling is required 24/7 e.g data centres.
